Why Flora is better for you?
Experts, including the World Heart Federation<link to site>, recommend replacing animal fats, such as butter, with unsaturated fats.
Thanks to its nutritious blend of seed oils, Flora is a source of the essential fats that your body needs: Omega 3†, plus vitamins A, D and E. Flora spreads can help keep your heart healthy † because they are:
• High in essential polyunsaturates
• Made from a blend of seed oils rich in heart-healthy Omega 3 †
• Contains omega 6
• Lower in saturated fats than butter
• Contains vitamins A, D and E.
Vitamin A is essential for good eyesight, vitamin D for strong bones, muscles and teeth and vitamin E for the protection of body cells. All of these vitamins are fat-soluble, making Flora spread an ideal way to consume them.
Why was Flora created?
Flora was developed by Unilever in the 1960s in direct response to the Dutch medical community’s request for a heart-healthy alternative to butter and lard. The result was the first high polyunsaturated fat spread ever made.
In 1995, Flora also led the way in removing virtually all the harmful trans fats from its spreads.
